The A Team
Stewy - Owner/Operator
Stewy
Hi, my name is Stewart., but everyone calls me Stewy. I have been passionate about animals, particularly snakes and reptiles my entire life. In 2008, I started learning and training on how to become a snake catcher. In 2009 I became fully licensed and set up my business called Stewy the Snake Catcher. I started off catching snakes part time for other catchers, but in 2016, I became a full time snake catcher. I have loved every minute of my job. I get to rescue on average 600-800 reptiles a year. I also get to meet and help some fantastic people in my community. If anyone ever asks me what my dream job is, I always answer with I already have my dream job. I wouldn’t change what I do.
Krystal - Owner/Operator.
Krystal
Krystal has been a part of the journey since day 1. Although, when I first met met Krystal, she was scared of snakes, and couldn’t even look at one in a cage. Well, fast forward 10 or so years, and now she is a fully licensed snake catcher. Krystal is also a licensed wildlife demonstrator, which means she runs most of our reptile themed birthday parties.
Brett Cody - Subcontractor
Brett
Brett has been working with us for 3 years now. A self employed handyman, he is able to drop everything and attend a snake call. Brett is very passionate about snakes, and will go above and beyond to make sure they are safely relocated. We often attend a lot of call outs where grass needs cutting, rubbish needs to be removed, and snake proofing is required. These jobs are a specialty for Brett, and can be organised through us at an extra cost.
Riley - Apprentice
Riley
Riley is my son. He is an avid animal lover. He already has a vast knowledge about the job and often accompanies us on snake calls. He knows what’s involved, and is learning how to safely interact with different wildlife. He is learning fast, and will hopefully join the team of catchers when he is old enough to become licensed. He is a licensed demonstrator under our business, and often attends events and birthday parties to teach others about reptiles. One day, I can see Riley taking over the business and expanding it.
